Leroy has provided expert witness testimony in various forums, including  federal court, as well as before before dispute review boards and American Arbitration Association panels. He is known for his credibility and high-quality testimony that stems from in-depth industry experience. Leroy has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, encompassing positions from cost accountant through Chief Financial Officer.

Leroy draws on his experience to provide consulting services on completed and ongoing projects. He quantifies construction damages on projects located domestically and internationally. Representative projects span industry sectors and include:

Prior to The Rhodes Group, Leroy served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Smoot Construction Company. In this capacity he was responsible for all financial operations of the $250-million general contractor, including overseeing the company’s banking, bonding and insurance needs; ensuring accounting and financial support to construction operations; providing financial support for and negotiating construction claims; and assisting in the development of the company’s strategic growth plan.

For 19 years, Leroy worked at  Dick Corporation, formerly an ENR Top 50 Contractor, where he held numerous positions from cost accountant to corporate controller.  Additionally, Leroy  was Manager of Finance and Accounting with CDM Engineers and Constructors, responsible for financial and cost accounting operations.

Leroy Trimbath is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a Certified Construction Financial Professional (CCIFP), and a Certified Construction Auditor (CCA).  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.
