The Rhodes Group is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support all aspects of the firm’s marketing, communications and business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, an eye for design, and the highest standards for quality. Knowledge of construction and legal markets (or a willingness to immerse yourself in these markets) is required. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Business Development to achieve firm marketing and business development goals by implementing strategies and tactics that promote the firm as a leader within its highly specialized field. The position requires strong project management and research skills.  

Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university in Marketing, Communications, or related area of focus is required. The ideal candidate will have 2 -5 years of experience, preferably working within a professional services environment (law, accounting, consulting, architecture, engineering, construction).  Must have experience with CRM systems, WordPress, Adobe InDesign, email campaign platforms and Microsoft Office products. Willingness to travel (0-10%) to other office locations or events is expected.

Primary Duties

  • Assisting with production of new marketing materials and editing existing marketing materials as necessary
  • Producing the firm’s external client newsletter in both print and digital formats
  • Curating content for social media (LinkedIn), writing posts, and maintaining a social media calendar
  • Coordinating client events, including venue selection and all logistics
  • Selecting and maintaining promotional items
  • Working with outside vendors on print, graphic design, website development and photography as needed
  • Maintaining company website, including implementing SEO best practices
  • Preparing and updating consultant biographies and CVs
  • Maintaining internal communications
  • Maintaining CRM system and records
  • Managing corporate sponsorships, including conference arrangements (registration, shipping, promotion, etc.)
  • Assisting in the selection and distribution of client gifts
  • Conducting research and preparing reports
  • Assisting with the preparation of proposals and statements of qualification  
  • Assisting with public relation efforts
  • Developing or overseeing development of graphics
  • Willingness to take on administrative tasks

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related field of study
  • 2 – 5 years of experience, preferably in a professional services firm (law, accounting, consulting, architecture, engineering, construction)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Proficient in managing WordPress websites
  • Experience with Mailchimp or other email campaign platform
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop also desired
  • Experience using a CRM system (Salesforce or Deltek CRM preferred)
  • Knowledge of social media best practices
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Willingness to travel (0-10%) to other office locations or events is expected.
