Marc Johnson is a Director in The Rhodes Group’s Houston, TX office. With more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Marc assists clients in the early identification and management of schedule and cost risk, and he directs the analysis of schedule delay and disruption claims and the quantification of construction damages on complex projects.

Marc is highly skilled in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, change management, project controls, loss of productivity analysis, schedule delay, acceleration, and disruption analysis and quantification of construction damages. His experience with construction claims ranges in value from $200 million to $2 billion on a variety of large-scale construction projects. Marc has analyzed impacts related to design errors, late and incomplete engineering, contract terminations, engineering errors and omissions, owner-directed changes, and force majeure events. He has testified to his findings at arbitration and presented at mediation.

Throughout his career in the construction industry, Marc has held a variety of roles involving the management of EPC project/program schedules and cost and the resolution of construction claims.

He has significant project controls experience for major engineering and construction firms on large-scale projects within the industrial, chemical, power, and environmental, and infrastructure industries. His background includes all stages of project development from planning and design through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, and commissioning.

Prior to joining The Rhodes Group, Marc served as Commercial Affairs Director at Westinghouse Electric Company for the Americas Region. In addition to his time at Westinghouse, Marc spent more than a decade at construction consulting firms performing forensic claims analysis. He also has extensive experience preparing formal Requests for Equitable Adjustment and expert reports for formal disputes.
