March 10, 2014 –  In January of this year The Rhodes Group opened an office in Houston, TX. The addition of the Houston office was a natural progression following a significant increase in business from clients based in the Gulf Coast region. The Houston office will allow The Rhodes Group to better serve that growing client base – on projects in the region and throughout the world.

“We are really looking forward to starting this phase of development in an exciting, thriving area that is so key to the oil and gas industry,” said Rhodes Group Vice President, Shawn Modar.

Modar will head up the Houston office, along with president Andrew Rhodes. The two plan to split their time between the Pittsburgh headquarters and the Gulf Coast office during the initial phases of development.

“While the opportunities in the Gulf Coast region are numerous, our plans for expanding our presence in the region include measures to ensure that our responsiveness and the quality of service experienced by our clients over the last 15 years will remain the same,” said Rhodes.

While the Houston office will be an extension of the Pittsburgh headquarters, offering construction consulting services on projects in all major sectors of construction, the focus of the office will largely be on complex projects in the oil & gas, industrial and power generation sectors.
